Astro Camp Saturday

Astro Camp Saturdays are one-day science camps for children ages 7-12 on Saturdays during the school year. Camp participants take part in themed missions filled with exciting experiments and activities.

This year's themes are:

"Fit to be a Solar Explorer"
October 3 or October 24

Do you have what it takes to be an astronaut? Discover the challenges that face our NASA astronauts when they go through their training. Campers will be challenged to physical fitness and research goals, practice physical fitness activities, and research proper nutrition, to enable them to aspire to become our next generation of Solar Explorers!

"Courage to Soar - Aeronautics 101"
November 7 or November 14

Come discover the courage to soar! Through hands-on activities that help the campers explore the forces of flight so they can develop the skills needed to create their own aviation models. Discover the challenges that first aviation explores encountered and follow the path that has help us find the courage to soar to the stars.

Camp hours are 8:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Campers should arrive at the Launch Pad by 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Launch Pad is located at the Mississippi Welcome Center in Hancock County, off I-10 at Exit 2.

Cost is $25 per camper (lunch is not included). The entry fee of $25 is required to reserve space. Application is confirmed when registration fee is received. Campers should bring their own lunches.

To reserve a space in Astro Camp Saturday for Fall 2009, fill out the Astro Camp Registration Form and mail it to the address below . Enclose check or money order for $25 (per camp) to register. Please write the camper's name somewhere on the check. Make check or money order payable to Jacobs Technology, Inc.
