The GLOBE program at Stennis Space Center is managed by the NASA Educator Resource Center. GLOBE training is conducted at the Little Red Schoolhouse located at Stennis Space Center. The Little Red Schoolhouse is an original, one-room schoolhouse dating back to the 1930's. It has been restored for use as a year-round, multidisciplinary learning center that serves as a model in curriculum design and delivery.
Stennis Space Center has been a GLOBE Franchise Training Site since January 1997. As such, it conducts three-day GLOBE Training workshops for K-12 educators. The Center has access to earth and soil scientists, researchers, and computer engineers during GLOBE Training. Educators who participate in the GLOBE workshops are awarded certified certificates and CEU credits.
